Installed in Murray Fraser Hall in 1994, "Lest We Forget" by artist Teresa Posyniak honours the victims of gender-based violence in Canada. The sculpture is made of paper, wood and Styrofoam, and includes the names of 135 women - the 14 women of the December 6, 1989 Montreal Massacre, Aboriginal women, and sex-trade workers - who were killed at the hands of men.
On December 5, 2014, the Faculty of Law celebrated the 20th anniversary of the sculptures installation at the law school. The anniversary also coincided with the 25th anniversary of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
