University of Calgary

Non-Law Courses

With the approval of the Associate Dean, a student may claim up to 9 credit hours towards the JD degree for courses taken outside the law school during the upper years of the program. The Associate Dean approves the number of law credits associated with any particular non-law course and approves the allocation of those credits to a particular term and year of the academic program.

Students should be aware that non-law courses from the University of Calgary do count towards GPA calculations for prizes, etc., but non-law courses from other institutions do not.
