High School teachers may invite law students into their classrooms to give a talk on some aspect of law. The law student is expected either to explain basic legal principles or to place current events in their legal context. There are also two programs which help high school students decide whether they are interested in studying law. In the first program, high school students visit the Law School and are introduced to our facilities, curriculum and some of our students. In the second, representatives from the Law School visit high schools on occasions such as career nights and outline the advantages of a legal education. Law students also have the opportunity to work with teenagers during the summer in conjunction with the U of C Mini-University PhD Program.
