Professor Ingelson joined the Faculty of Law on July 1, 2008.

He holds degrees from the University of Alberta, the University of Calgary, and University of Denver. His graduate work was in international natural resources and environmental law and policy. In 1991 he was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta as a Barrister & Solicitor in Alberta and holds memberships in the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Alberta and Beta Gamma Sigma.

Journals in which he has published scholarly papers include the Journal of Energy and Natural Resources Law, the Journal of Natural Resources and Environmental Law, the Natural Resources Journal and the Water Law Review. His research focuses on regulation of the Canadian and international energy and mining sectors. He has chaired appeals, undergraduate program review and merit committees.

Professor Ingelson was awarded the 2006-2007 Faculty Member Superior Service Award, and was elected to the Board of Directors of the University of Calgary Faculty Association.
